Mission

The Taoyuan Academic Affairs Section offers high-quality administrative service. It will provide highly efficient, quality service for faculty, staff and students on campus through vertical linkage with every unit of Academic Affairs Division in Taipei and horizontal communication with every unit in Taoyuan Campus as well.

Mission

Under the guidance of the Student Affairs Division and Taoyuan Campus Administrative Affairs Division, the mission of the Taoyuan Student Affairs Section at MCU is to enhance, support and complement the academic mission of the university by promoting a campus environment that supports learning, serves the needs of students, and fosters a sense of responsibility, high ethical standards, team spirit, health lifestyles, emotional well-being and enhance personal growth beyond a scope of worldview.

1. Foster intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual growth.
2. Assess and respond to students’ needs.
3. Create opportunities for personal growth, leadership experience, and the community service volunteer programs that empower students to take initiative while challenging them to be accountable, responsible, and civilized.

6. Assist students to manage or eliminate existing health problems and by providing educational .information/programming to assist students to live healthy lifestyles.

Under the supervision of the General Affairs Division and the Taoyuan Campus Administrative Affairs Division of Ming Chuan University, the Taoyuan General Affairs Section serves and supports all teachers and students by providing and maintaining a suitable environment.

Goals

1. Design and supervise affairs related to environmental protection and occupational safety and hygiene of each unit.
2. Promote and implement the relevant regulations of environmental protection and education on occupational safety and hygiene.
3. Supervise the examination and inspection of environmental protection and facilities of occupational safety and hygiene.
4. Guide and supervise the review, regular inspection, key-point inspection and occupational safety and hygiene measures.
5. Prevent, supervise, assist with and control campus pollution.
6. Design for campus environmental protection, occupational disaster prevention, safety and hygiene and supervise the implementation conducted by the relevant Schools.
7. Plan for occupational health check-up programs and implement health management.
8. Supervise and manage the affairs of water, toxins, air and harmful pollution (chemical and infectious waste).
9. Supervise the survey and matters related to occupational disaster, compile the statistics of occupational disaster and manage the report.
10. Design, supervise or execute plans related to environmental protection, occupational disaster prevention, safety and hygiene.
